Di tanto in tanto mi va di rispolverare vecchi lavori, un po' per nostalgia, ma soprattutto per la validità e l'importanza che certe opere hanno avuto nell'accrescimento esponenziale, durante questi anni, del Progressive Rock. 

Grande performance live nel 25th anniversario dell'ormai storico album "Script For A Jester's Tear" dei Marillion  eseguita da Mick Pointer cofondatore della ormai storica band, Nick Barret ( Pendragon), Mike Varty (Credo) , Brian Cummins (Carpet Crawlers).

Registrazione non impeccabile , ma documento imperdibile.

Sempre in grande spolvero stilistico-compositiva, il chitarrista dei Marillion Steve Rothery, ci fa dono di questo splendido lavoro, frutto di un'attenta quando sorprendente ricerca degli stilemi classici del prog, con toni e melodie prettamente del nostro tempo.

Un disco, che certamente sarà accolto con estremo entusiasmo da noi tutti amanti del progressive, sempre alla ricerca di qualcosa che possa suscitare nuove emozioni.

Da notare la presenza dell'instancabile "Steve Hackett" nel brano di apertura.

Possiamo senz'altro dire che i Marillion sono stati la prima neo-progressive rock band.
Il sound e la voce di Fish , riportano tutti noi indietro a riassaporare melodie romantiche gia'
ascoltate con Genesis , Yes e Pink Floyd.
Il Primo album , Script For A Jester's Tear(1983), è un autentico capolavoro seguito a ruota dai successivi: Fugazi(1984),Real To Real(1984-EP),Misplaced Chilodhood(1985),Brief Encounter(1986-EP),Clutching at Straws(1987),Live at Loreley(1987),B'Sides Themselves(1988 - single B sides),The Thieving Magpie(La Gazza Ladra- 1988 ,Live).
Seasons End(1989) con il nuovo vocalist Steve Horgarth(ottimo album con interessanti spunti progressivi), e l'ultimo album di un periodo veramente magico. Sono di questo periodo i Bootleg postati.
